The Florida Marlins struggled at the plate against the Atlanta Braves on Thursday night as they lost 7-3.  The Marlins were only able to scrap together six hits.  They probably wouldn’t even have scored a run if Josh Willingham didn’t go 3-4 with four RBI.

Besides Willinghams three hits, only three other Marlins players had a hit.  Talk about a terrible performance at the place for the Marlins.

On the mound for the Marlins, Burke Badenhop took the loss after throwing five innings.  Badenhop gave up eight hits and six runs in the game.  Logan Kensing pitched two scoreless innings before Doug Waechter gave up a run in the eighth inning.

The Florida Marlins only got three hits off the Atlanta Braves on Thursday night as they lost 8-0.  The Braves hit back-to-back-to-back home runs in the fifth inning to blow the game wide open.

Ricky Nolasco only lasted 4.2 innings as he gave up nine runs and six earned runs.  Nolasco gave up four home runs as he didn’t have his good stuff tonight.  Lee Gardner gave up two more earned runs for the Marlins as he pitched in relief.

It was just a bad night for the Marlins that is all I can really blog about.

The Florida Marlins continue to play good baseball as the defeated the Atlanta Braves by the score of 6-5.  With the win over the Braves, the Marlins record now stand at 9-5.  I really like how the Marlins are playing baseball right now, they are an exciting team to watch.

Mike Jacobs and Luis Gonzalez both hit home runs for the Marlins.  Jacobs hit a solo shot in the third inning while Gonzalez hit a two run shot in the seventh inning.  Hanley Ramirez had two RBI for the Marlins while Jorge Cantu chipped in with one RBI.

Matt Hendrickson pitched 5.1 innigns to pick up the win for the Marlins.  It was Henderickson’s third win of the season.  Out of five relief pitchers, Matt Lindstrom was the only one to let in a run.  Other then Lindstrom the Marlins bullpen did a pretty good job.
